Pathfinders new Supported Independent Living facility in Armidale is starting to take shape, with construction well underway.
Uniplan Group has delivered and installed a new custom-built building, that houses the new kitchen, dining and recreational area of the facility. Uniplan have also installed a deck with disabled access to the outside of the building to create an additional outdoor living area and easy access to the building.
Our builder Leon Murray and his team have also been on-site over the past few weeks renovating one of the existing rooms to convert it into a Disability Access room, build retaining walls and provide noise insulation between the laundry and unit 1.
The facility will be used for our young people who are in care or transitioning from care to living independently. The program is aimed at preparing and supporting young people in making smooth transitions from Out-of-Home Care to independent living, self-reliance, and adulthood.
This project is supported by The FutureSteps Open Grant Program administered by Community Enterprise Foundation. Made possible by the generous support of Lendlease FutureSteps.
